Sunbury-on-Thames, United Kingdom, Nov 13 2014 – Crescendo Systems Limited, a leading provider of digital dictation, voice recognition and referral management solutions for UK primary care, today announced that it has been selected as a supplier of GP IT systems for Lot 2 of the GP Systems of Choice (GPSoC) framework.

Over 75% of GP practices use a clinical IT system provided and funded through the GPSoC Framework. Signed on November 5, Lot 2 enables GPs, CCGs and other NHS organisations in England to procure additional GP IT Services from accredited suppliers. The Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) procured the new framework on behalf of NHS England and 30 suppliers, including Crescendo, have been selected.

“Being part of this framework is a real testament to the design, security and flexibility of our technology currently being used by over 600 practices across the UK,” John Bendall, Director of UK Operations, Crescendo Systems Limited, explains. “This agreement is great news for existing customers and new GP practices looking to cut referral costs, pool resources and improve patient care through the use of centrally funded, best of breed technology.”

Practices and CCGs who wish to migrate practices to Crescendo can find guidance on the GPSoC website, where a summary of the products and services which each supplier intends to provide is also available.
